Celtic Designed Plate - with Celtic Artist Cari Buziak Tree of Life design

Celtic Designed Plate - with Celtic Artist Cari Buziak Tree of Life design
Enter the mystical world of the CELTIC TREE OF LIFE - representing balance, harmony, strength and wisdom. We celebrate it here by combining the original artwork of Cari with the wood; the way it was meant to be.

These hand-turned plates, measuring 7" in diameter are produced from Cherry wood local to our area in Western Maryland.

Each plate is Hand turned from a solid piece of wood by wood artisan Peter Pihos; recognized in leading wood magazines for combining unique wood products with unique engravings.

The durable finish allows for the natural grains of the wood to come through and can easily be displayed or hung.

Mother Nature makes sure no two items are exactly alike. The same holds true for all of our hand-made pieces ~ each has a different grain pattern and color gradation; which adds to the beauty and unique quality of each one.

*This Tree of Life design is licensed directly from Cari Buziak by 5 Year Wood / MCC and the design is copyrighted by Cari Buziak. All copyright laws apply internationally. (Help protect artists' work by not buying from unlicensed listings and unauthorized copying)

Mileage Marker series featuring the C&O and Great Allegheny Passage Trails and their confluence in Cumberland.......

Mileage Marker series featuring the C&O and GAP trails
This Trail Mile Marker makes a wonderful collectible for any trail enthusiast; whether spending time biking, hiking or horseback riding on either of these two Historic Trails. This engraved keepsake presents both Trails at their confluence in Cumberland MD.  (Great gift for guests - see what B&Bs and tour guides are saying about this - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10205745748431916&set=pcb.10205745749111933&type=3&theater

Standing 7" tall (and 2.25" square), this Mile Marker is made of solid Cherry (weighing 12 ounces) and is 100% hand-made and engraved in the USA by us at our Studio workshop in Cumberland. Triple finished with the final being carnauba wax.

We use local Cherry wood in an effort to support the mills and kilns that produce the wood blanks with which we start.

It is a compliment to our Great Allegheny Passage Elevation Grade. (shown below)
